St. Paul upped their season record to 6-1 with an easy win over PGUMC by a score of 14-4. St. Paul jumped off to a great start in the top of the first inning as the first 6 batters reached base on two walks and 4 hits. After a force out, another hit and a walk and 6 runs had crossed the plate. St. Paul scored an additional 4 runs in the second inning to take a commanding 10-0 lead. After adding 2 more in the third inning for a 12-0 lead, Eric Steuer came in to pitch the next two innings and Dan Fiese pitched the 5th. PGUMC scored once in the 3rd and 3 in the 5th to make the final 14-4.

Dan Fiese led St. Paul with a perfect 4 for 4 night, 4 runs scored, 2 doubles and a Home Run along with 3 RBI’s. Sean Behm went 3 for 4 while Andy Peterson and Allen McKillips drove in 3 runs each. Brad Thompson scored 3 runs and Andy collected 2 doubles to the fence.

St. Paul, now 6-1, will take on Hope Black next week again at Krueger at 6:30. Andy Peterson leads the team in Batting Average with a .739 mark followed closely by Dan Fiese and Allen McKillips both over .700. Dan is the hit leader with 21 and RBI’s with 18. Brad Thompson has scored the most runs with 15 and Jim Neitzel has the most walks with 3. For extra base hits, Andy is the doubles leader with 7, Seth Freeman leads in triples with 2 and Dan and Seth have each hit 2 Home Runs.
