Coming Out of COVID: Transitions in Worship St. Paul's Council met Monday and discussed the transitions over the next few weeks and months as we come out of this "Covid era" time. Here are important highlights for you to know: 1. We will no longer require masks or physical distancing in worship. For those who are unvaccinated or at higher risk, or simply anyone who feels more comfortable, masks are still encouraged. A section of pews to the left as you come into the sanctuary, in front of the tech table, will also be designated a "physical distancing" area. 2. As you feel comfortable, you are invited to sing along in worship. If you are unvaccinated, please use caution and sing behind a mask. Our readings and prayers will also often be live, though sometimes our readers and intercessors may choose to pre-record their part of the service. 3. We will continue to meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for the next month. On July 18th we will shift to two services on Sunday mornings, at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. These services will still be a "blended" style of worship for the summer. We anticipate returning to our two different service styles beginning with Rally Sunday in the fall. 4. We will continue to offer online services on our Facebook and YouTube pages. We are in the process of switching from prerecording our worship to livestreaming our Sunday morning service. Stay tuned for details, times, etc. (And if you’re willing to learn – we still need Tech Team members!) 5. Love is still our best, most important gift as a community. Love one another! The temptation to judge, or be angry, or feel shame is a danger to our unity - and love that stays open to each other, trusting that we're each making the best choices we can, with God's help, is our best gift in a broken world. Let us love one another - be patient, compassionate, curious, and kind - especially across our differences!
